![]() ![]() ![]() One obvious way was to install Google Calendar then link my MS Outlook account to it so calendar events are fetched from MS Outlook to the Google Calendar app (which by default stores the calendar data in "Calendar Storage"). With this goal in mind, I started exploring options. It became clear to me as long as you can populate this "Calendar Storage" with MS Outlook's calendar data, then Garmin Connect will pick up the data and display it on your watch via the built in calendar widget / glance. This system app is called "Calendar Storage". So while the Android OS doesn't let you switch the default calendar app to something else other than the Google calendar, there is actually a system app that holds the calendar data for the 'default calendar environment' if you will. This should work for any Garmin model with a calendar widget / glance. Thought I'd share my findings for anyone else in a similar situation. until I finally figured out a way to use the native functions of both my android phone and the Venu 2 to accomplish this, that is. I was a bit desperate to the point where I started thinking about writing a connect IQ app myself to cover this missing piece. A lot of users seem to just settle with moving to the Google calendar, or end up not using this functionality at all. I then tried to search for any solution, and much to my surprise nothing can be found. Thought it would just be a matter of finding a similar app for my Venu 2, turned out such an app doesn't seem to even exist for Garmin in general, much less the Venu 2. In the Fitbit world there is a 3rd party app that does a very simple thing of connecting directly to MS Outlook then fetch / display the upcoming calendar events. Coming from a Fitbit Ionic, I quickly realized there is one feature that I dearly miss - the ability to show an up-to-date agenda from the MS Outlook calendar.ĭidn't even think this would be a problem. New to the Garmin world with a brand new Venu 2. ![]() A bit background first of all: I use an Android phone, and I have Google Calendar and Gmail deleted on my phone because my primary e-mail / calendar tool is MS Outlook.
